Residential Knox Box: Emergency Access Program |
- Allows the Fire Department to enter and exit a structure (house) without doing any damage
- Provides a secure key right on site for fire department access.
- Fire department can quickly gain access to determine the cause of the fire alarm.
- Quick access allows the Fire Department to minimize damage from other emergencies such as a furnace malfunction or water leak (winter time pipe freeze-ups).
- The Knox Box System is the only key securing system recognized by the Morris Township Fire Department.
- A miniature vault attaches to the home.
- The Knox Box contains the key to the home and any information required to reset the fire alarm system only.
- Only the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief have keys to open the Knox Box.
- Knox Boxes are available in different sizes, colors and also have the capability of being connected to your burglar alarm system
